Summer Reading Program at Bosler Memorial Library!

 Local Literacy and Letterboxing Challenge - through Sunday, August 14
 “Get out and Go!” Do you love a challenge?  Do you enjoy exploring new areas?  If you participate in Bosler’s letterboxing challenge you get to do both! 
Each participant will be given a series of clues that will lead to various letterboxes in the Carlisle area.  These won’t be just laying out in the open, so get the whole family involved in this new “treasure hunting” experience. Stop by the library or visit this website in June to receive complete directions and clues that will lead you to the letterboxes. Participants will be entered in a grand prize drawing to win a gift certificate for an outdoor family adventure.

College Planning

June 29th 7:00 PM: College Admissions Process – This presentation will mention course selection, standardized testing, how a family may evaluate a college, and how colleges select students, visits, applications, and interviews.  Presented by Rick Heckman, Director of Financial Aid at Dickinson College and Jon W. Tarrant, Certified Educational Planner.
July 18th 7:00 PM: Costs of College – learn about all the costs associated with college, both now and in the future.  Don’t get surprised by unexpected or unplanned costs.  Presented by Mary Brunski of J. Powell Associates.

Super Sports Trivia Challenge for Kids!
July 5 – July 10
Available during regular Library hours from July 5th through 10th, stop at the Youth Services Desk to get your quiz sheet.  Then, use our resources to try to answer the questions as quickly as you can.  Get even one question correct and you receive a small prize.  Compete with other participants throughout the week for a grand prize, given to the contestant who correctly answers the most questions the fastest.

Puppet Show with Bruce Weaver & Friends
Tuesday, July 12 -- 6:30 to 7:15 pm

Summer Reading Final Festival
Friday, August 26 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
There will be activities throughout the library from 5:00 to 6:30, followed by a family concert featuring JRP (the Jazz Resurrection Project) at 7:00.  It will also feature the Grand Opening of our Summer Reading Club Store in the Youth Services Programming Room, from 5:00 to 6:30.  If you saved up your reading coins this summer, hoping for a bigger prize, this is your first chance to exchange them!

The Summer Reading Club Store will also be open Saturday August 27th from 11:00am to 3:00pm; Sunday August 28th from 1:30pm to 3:30pm; and, August 29th through September 2nd from 5:00pm to 8:00pm each evening.
