Sure Sight 2.0 Digital Color Video Monitor Review

By Erin Petko, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Carlisle March 6, 2017

Choosing the perfect baby monitor can be a difficult process as there are many options, prices and capabilities. When my children were babies, a video monitor was something I always wanted for them but quite honestly was not in my price range. We opted for the sound only monitors but it often led to being concerned about the safety of them while we weren’t in the same room. I was very pleased to get to review the Summer Infant Sure Sight 2.0 Baby Monitor and show it to some new and expecting Mom’s at my Baby Brunch in February.

My favorite feature of the Summer Infant Sure Sight 2.0 Monitor is the black and white night vision. It allows parents to put babies to be without fear of them choking on something, rolling over or getting caught on the crib. You are able to check on baby without having to worry about creaky floor boards or squeaky doors waking them. This feature would also be perfect for toddlers who do not like to stay asleep in their bed at night. With my oldest child, we had a lot of nights where she simply would not stay in her room or her own bed. This monitor would allow you to watch them at night from your own room to ensure they are always safe. This both keeps your child safe and helps them to become more independent.

The system is expandable, meaning that you can add cameras to monitor multiple rooms, up to 4 total. This would be perfect for multiple children in different rooms, as well as for pets! The video and audio auto scans between each camera location. The camera can sit on a dresser or stand in the room or can be hung up with the included wall mounts. Please remember to keep cords out of children’s reach and away from the crib. The camera is adjustable and swivels as well for the perfect view of your child.

I feel that this monitor is great for keeping your children safe and sound at night, allowing Mom and Dad to get some (much needed) sleep. Summer Infant has several different baby monitors on the market. The Sure Sight 2.0 is priced between $79 and $99, which feel is a great price for a video monitor.
