If your family isn't quite ready to let go of the Easter feeling, check out these fun local events to keep the spirit going this weekend.
Spring Festival at Meadowbrooke Gourds
This weekend, Meadowbrooke Gourds in Carlisle will be hosting its first Spring Festival in tandem with its’ Egg Hunt. There will be spring craft vendors, opportunities to paint birdhouses with your little artist ($10.00 fee), and a chance to touch a firetruck! There will also be games of chance and an Easter Basket raffle to support the Upper Frankford Fire Company. B&L Dogz will be serving hot dogs, sausages, chicken on a stick, mac and cheese, and sandwiches. Upper Frankford Fire Company will be selling Walking Tacos and a full Ham Dinner.
Everything’s Butterflies at Taylor’s
Folk’s Butterfly Farm will be at Taylor’s Greenhouse in Biglerville with their butterfly house. For $3.00, Kids can enter the house to see and touch the butterflies and learn about their life cycles and habitats. Dough and Arrows, The Pretzel Spot Cafe, and Farm Show Milkshakes will be there for food purchase. Check out Taylor's cut-your-own spring flowers while you’re there!
Spring Fling on Paulus Farm
This Saturday is the last day for Paulus Farm’s Spring Fling in Mechanicsburg. Enjoy a hayride, visit with the animals, hunt for eggs, and decorate them, too! Entry into the Farm Park is included. The Farm Park is an awesome hands-on play space with the Dirt Diner, Giant Sand Pit, Balance logs, Wooden Tractor, Giant Bales, Tubes, Tires & Tunnels, Milk Cow in Pizza Garden, and a Music Garden. Tickets are required and can be purchased online.
Make-and-Take Easter Activities
Bosler Library in Carlisle is offering Make-and-Take Easter activities from April 5th to April 30th as long as supplies last. "Ella the Easter bunny needs help completing activities for her big Easter party! Finish all her activities to make sure she has the best Easter!" Activities include “Easter Egg Decoration”, “Easter Bookmark Design”, and “Easter Cadbury Bubbles”. Call Bosler's Youth Services Department at (717) 243-4642 extension 2231 to arrange to pick up your make & take kit!
