Carlisle families, brace yourselves—because the bar for indoor play spaces just got raised higher than a sugar-fueled toddler on a trampoline. Introducing: Enchanted Forest-LLC Carlisle, the brand-new downtown destination where whimsical play meets Pinterest-level aesthetics and yes, even the sloth is part of the staff.
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because these are the same creative masterminds who gave us those DIY photography vignettes and backdrops at Treetop Tree Farm last Christmas—the ones so magical I momentarily forgot my children were tracking pine needles into the car like tiny woodland elves. So naturally, when we heard they were opening a permanent play space in downtown Carlisle, we sprinted faster than a kid chasing the last cupcake at a birthday party.
Our Sneak Peek Visit
At this year’s Carlisle Bunny Hop, we got a behind-the-scenes look at what Enchanted Forest has been busy building—and let me just say: wow. From the second we walked in, Rhys took off his coat and made himself at home. (And as we all know, removing a coat without adult nagging is the highest form of toddler approval.)
There was an indoor airplane with a real propeller. A pretend pizza parlor that made me question why I’ve never been served fake pizza with such enthusiasm before. A climbing wall and rope swing. A calm LEGO-building corner with an inspirational sign that whispered "don’t forget to enjoy the journey" while my child built a four-wheeled chicken spaceship. And yes, there were chicks. Real, live, peeping chicks. If they had passed out lattes, I would have moved in.
Every corner was thoughtfully designed to be inclusive, engaging, and just the right mix of open-ended and structured play. It's the kind of space that says, "Sure, let your kid climb that... it’s meant to be climbed." (Swoon.)
The Vibe?
Think cozy woodland hideaway meets indoor exploratory wonderland. It’s a play place, a photo backdrop, and a birthday party jackpot all rolled into one. It’s the perfect antidote to Central PA’s unpredictable weather and even more unpredictable kid energy levels. Basically, it’s giving Montessori meets Pinterest meets indoor toddler rave—and I am here for it.

You’re officially invited to help welcome Enchanted Forest-LLC to the neighborhood with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration on May 30th at 2:00, followed by continued celebrations with family, friends and community from 4:00-6:00!
