The Central Pennsylvania Homeschool Orchestra seeks to provide homeschooled students with an education in orchestral ensemble playing, with opportunities to demonstrate their skills in performance. CPHO also welcomes cyber-charter, public, and private school students who are able to conform to our rehearsal and performance schedule and to abide by CPHO policies. Rehearsals take place in Carlisle generally every other week from September through March, then weekly in April, with private and public concerts taking place at the end of April and/or beginning of May. Admission to CPHO is by audition; those who pass their audition may be invited to join as Principal or Associate members, depending on demonstrated skills. Although general audition dates are scheduled for the summer, CPHO’s roster remains open until December, so auditions may still be scheduled until then for those who missed summer auditions.
